The first part of any party is the invitation! It’s the first anyone will see of your theme, and get an idea of what to expect! At my kids charter school for kids on the spectrum invitations tend to get lost. I usually get them about 2 weeks AFTER the party happens.
I wanted something unique the kids would be excited to take home. Something really fun and memorable, that MIGHT actually make it to their parents and up the chance we’ll have attendees!
There is a new birthday world in the Angry Birds so there is lots of great birthday images out there! So I found some good ones and using the “feast of flesh” font to personalize it! Also it’s easy to get lost in the area by my kids school, and some construction. So I included a map from the school to the park with a few route
SO golden eggs with candy and the invitation rolled up inside (and held closed with some washi tape)~ I doubt the candy made it home… But hopefully the invitation did! We ended up with 4 out of 13 kids coming, which is actually a good number for the kids from school (add lots of family and we always have a good sized party).
It was something easy enough that the kids could help me stuff! And Lego Boy loved them and was super excited to had them out, so WIN! We also used the golden eggs in the party table as well, AND I still have more left for easter next year.
So here are the invitation printables, I printed these as a borderless 8.5×11 on magazine paper (like photo paper on both sides, but thin). Some blank JPG’s you can add all your own info to, OR for you photoshop users some PSD files so you can just change it your own wording!
